Two women at Brookdale Green Hills Cumberland appeared on NewsChannel5 in Nashville for their beautiful story of friends reunited after decades apart.
Former educators Georgia Hobb, 88, and Elaine Brown, 76, reconnected in a surprising way—when Elaine recognized Georgia’s voice during a bingo game.
Decades earlier, Georgia had taught Elaine sign language while she was a graduate student at Peabody. Georgia went on to teach deaf children in the Nashville Metro school system, while Elaine spent her career teaching at the Tennessee School for the Blind.
Their story is a touching reminder of the power of social connection and the meaningful friendships that help seniors thrive.
