This year's Valentine's Day was extra special for a 106-year-old woman in the Brookdale Pleasant Hills Nursing Home, when one of the residents surprised her with a singing quartet.

Leaders at Brookdale Nursing Home hosted their second COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the facility Tuesday, vaccinating around 200 staff and residents.

Julie Cox is a 78-year-old Brookdale Novi resident who made a viral rap about COVID-19 and she recently received a dose of the vaccine. Cox, a former music teacher, decided she wanted to remind people to wash their hands and practice social distancing the best way she knows how -- through song.
